Pedestrians are VIPs for the day

Title: Very Important Pedestrian Day
Location: Oxford Street and Regent Street
Link out: Click here
Description: Special shopping event
Start Date: 2008-12-06
End Date: 2008-12-07

This Saturday, Oxford Street and Regent Street will become traffic-free for the day. Pedestrians will truly take over. The annual Shop West End VIP (Very Important Pedestrian) Day will see the streets cleared to allow unrestrained crimbo shopping.

To break up a long day of shop-hopping there’ll be entertainment, live music and guest appearances (look out for me, the Golden Gnome) for all to enjoy.

Although the traffic returns on Sunday, the fun just goes on with a family day across Oxford Street and Regent Street. Children of all ages will be entertained with events and games taking place in up to 600 stores.

As you can imagine the VIP Day (Saturday) will affect a number of bus routes. So for those of you who would usually hop on a bus to Oxford Street or Regent Street, it might be worth planning your journey before you leave the house.

Enjoy.
